EDISON, N.J., May 1 (ZFJ) — The U.S. Marshals arrested Dawn Burge, 36, a suspect in a stabbing in Edison, N.J., in Lorain County, Ohio, on April 23, 2026.
On June 29, 2025, police responded to an address on Morgan Drive in Edison regarding a domestic dispute. Arriving officers found a male victim who had sustained stab wounds. Authorities determined that Burge was involved in the incident, and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) secured a warrant for her arrest.
The Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NY/NJ RFTF) recently found out that Burge had fled the state to Lorain County and, on April 22, 2026, asked the Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) to arrest her. The Ohio task force conducted interviews and investigated several leads before tracking her to an establishment in the 500 block of Griswold Road in Elyria, Ohio.
Burge was apprehended and taken to the Lorain County Jail pending extradition back to N.J.
“The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force will not stand for violent fugitives fleeing from other states to our communities,” said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. “We have a strong presence in all our counties that we cover and we will track down and arrest these fugitives.”
