COLLEGE PARK, Md., May 1 (ZFJ) — The University of Maryland Police Department (UMPD) is seeking a suspect in the recent string of indecent exposure incidents at McKeldin Library.

On April 30, 2026, police released surveillance image stills of an individual who is suspected to have committed three incidents in bathrooms on the sixth and seventh floors of the library.

In the first case, an indecent exposure on Feb. 12, 2026, a male student reported to police that, at about 5:59 p.m., a man entered the bathroom stall next to his on the sixth floor, exposed himself, and left.

In the second case, a voyeur incident on March 25, 2026, a male student reported to police that, between 4:50 p.m. and 5:15 p.m., he had been in a stall in the seventh floor bathroom when he saw an unknown person looking through a hole in the stall. The student then left the restroom.

In the most recent case, an indecent exposure on April 27, 2026, at about 2:48 p.m., police were notified that someone had reported an attempted indecent exposure in a sixth floor bathroom between 2:30 p.m. and 2:33 p.m. to the library front desk without leaving contact information. At about 7:35 p.m. the same day, the reporting student contacted the police and said that he was in a bathroom stall when the suspect, in the next stall, exposed himself.

The UMPD Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the library incidents.
